We are excited to announce that Proactive Padel is bringing the dynamic sport of Padel to our beautiful estate. Over the course of the next few weeks, the team will be constructing four world-class Padel courts right next to our existing tennis courts.
 
The Proactive Padel team is comprised of passionate sports professionals and experienced entrepreneurs! Their combination of passion of sports and successful track record in constructing and managing Padel court facilities at golf courses is sure to be a tremendous asset in brining Padel to Woodhill.

Padel tennis, often simply referred to as “padel”, is a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It is typically played on an enclosed court that is about a third of the size of a standard tennis court. Padel has gained immense popularity, especially in Europe and Latin America, and is considered one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
 
Padel is known for being a social and accessible sport, making it popular among players of all ages and skill levels. Its relatively simple rules, smaller court size, and the fact that it’s typically played in doubles contribute to its widespread appeal. Padel offers a fun and fast-paced alternative to traditional tennis, with an emphasis on strategy, placement and teamwork. Although South Africa has taken significantly longer to catch up with the rest of the world, we have proven to be a Padel “hungry” country. The sport is growing rapidly in South Africa with Padel enthusiasts demanding for more court time.
